Laver, Rod(ney George)
(n. 9 ago. 1938, Rockhamton, Queensland, Australia).

Tenista australiano. Se unió al equipo australiano de Copa Davis cuando tenía 18 años y representó a su país en el torneo hasta 1962. Apodado "Cohete, fue el segundo hombre (después de Don Budge) en ganar el Grand Slam del tenis (1962) y el primero en repetir la hazaña (1969). Se hizo profesional en 1963 y en 1971 se convirtió en el primer tenista en superar el millón de dólares en premios.
